• SITUATION BASED PUZZLES

    Find out the number of items and make a table with number of columns equivalent to the number of items. Fill up one column with the given factors / values and try filling up the blank columns with the number of hints provided in the questions. Ultimately you are left with one blank column and one value. You can very safely assume and fill up the said blank place with the value left with us.

    STEPS TO SOLVE THE QUESTION:

    1. Make a table with the number of columns equal to the persons or things for whom the information is required in the question.
    2. Enter the name of the persons or the factors for which the answers are required.
    3. In the first row, enter all the factors/ qualities information with regard is given in some cases and required to be found for others.
    4. Fill the pigeonholes with the information given.
    5. It will be observed that for each column, information with regard to majority of the blocks is given to us e.g. if there are seven persons, then information with regard to four persons is always available either directly or indirectly.
    6. Complete one column first and then move on to the next column.
    7. Note down the negative information on one side of the table
    8. Do not try to solve the question, row wise. Do it column wise.
